Nitsan and Jawdat held such a playful and welcoming container at our Esalen workshop. They helped us participate in an embodied way of connecting with their work and helping us feel the reality of the situation in Gaza and Israel. It was important to see how an Israeli and Palestinian person can come together with peace and hope and pain to create something that attempts to touch on the deep healing that is needed to occur in the hearts of individuals on both sides. This work is necessary now, more than ever, and supporting their mission feels imperative to truly begin the inner healing needed for peace to be embodied.

What an honor it was to host Nitsan Joy Gordon and Jawdat Kasab at CBST. We hosted this program together with a few other Jewish organizations on the second afternoon of Rosh Hashanah, which was a powerful way to welcome 5786 in the spirit of hopefulness and validating one another’s experience. Jawdat and Nitsan generously shared each of their stories and how they have applied their academic learning and life experience to create transformation, groups of people you might call armies of kindness and peace.
